Lymnaeum laticeps LeConte, 1858b: 61. Type locality: "San Diego [San Diego County], California" (original citation). Holotype [by monotypy] (♀) in MCZ [# 5562].
Lymneops angusticeps Casey, 1918: 169. Type locality: "San Pedro [Los Angeles County], California" (original citation). Lectotype (♂), designated by Erwin (1984a: 176), in USNM [# 46903]. Synonymy established by Fall (1922a: 84), confirmed by Erwin (1984a: 176).
Distribution.
This species occurs on the seashore along the coast of California.
