Specimens examined. Jarabacoa (Cordillera Central), 30-IX-2008, one female on Cecropia peltata View in CoL L. ( Cecropiaceae ).

Remarks. Species with a wide geographical distribution, including tropical, subtropical and Mediterranean areas in Central and South America, Caribbean Islands, Canary Islands, Iberian Peninsula, Angola, Kenya, South Africa, Iran, India, Southeastern Asia, China, Papua New Guinea, Queensland ( Australia) and Hawaii ( USA). The setal measurements of a single female collected correspond quite well to the values given by Schicha (1981).
