Xenelmis teres Hinton 1946: 240 View in CoL ; Brown 1970: 56.

This species was described from a female and since 1946 no new record was reported. Males of this species are unknown.

Diagnosis

This species may be distinguished from all other known Xenelmis species by the following combination of characters: (1) two weak, parallel rows of granules on disc of pronotum; (2) granules of pronotum smaller than facets, separated by 2–2 ½ times their diameter; (3) pronotum without punctures; (4) elytral intervals smooth, and strial punctures very small (5) third elytral interval with row of 19–20 granules.
