This is the first record of this species from Syria. Five females were collected from four plant species: Al-Hekr: one female on Cydonia oblonga Miller ( Rosaceae ) in July 2023 ; one female on Cupressus sempervirens L. ( Cupressaceae ) and two females on Q. calliprinos in

August 2023 ; Ain Halakeem: one female on S. officinalis in July 2023. This species is widely distributed in Europe and the Middle East. It has also been recorded in North Africa, Canada, and the USA ( Demite et al. 2024).
