Genus Hofmaenneria Gerlach & Meyl, 1957 View in CoL
Diagnosis (after Gagarin & Naumova 2022). Body length from 0.37 to 2.3 mm. Cuticle finely annulated. Six inner labial sensillae in the form of papillae. Six outer labial sensillae and four cephalic sensillae in the form of thin setae. Subcephalic and cervical setae absent. Amphidial fovea circular, larger in males than in females (sexual dimorphism). Stoma wide, cylindrical or goblet-shaped. Pharynx expands towards its base, but without terminal bulb. Small denticles may be present at gymnostoma or anterior to the pharynx. Single anterior gonad in both sexes, located to the right of the intestine. Spicules slender, ventrally curved. Gubernaculum small, without dorsal apophysis. Tail in both sexes slender, elongated-conical. Terminal setae absent, occasionally present.
