Description. Body length 4.6–5.2 mm; Two broken cerci (base plus 5 articles) 2.1 mm. Epicuticle without ornamentation; clothing setae glabrous or with few distal barbs.

Intact antennae not seen, lectotype antenna complete with 25 antennomeres, but regenerated: 7 subapical antennomeres half the length of proximal antennomeres; apical antennomere slightly longer than wide; cupuliform organ of apical antennomere with 4 simple sensilla; subcylindrical sensillum of third antennomere, located ventrally between macrochaetae d and e.

Frontal process of head with 3 macrochaetae, barbed on distal third; anterior seta longer than two posterior setae. Three macrochaetae at base of antenna and the x setae with distal barbs, with the following relative lengths: anterior = 0.64, posterior = 0.48, intermediate = 0.61, x setae = 1). Labial palps suboval, with subcylindrical sensillum, two guard setae, up to 8 setae on the anterior portion and 150-220 neuroglandular setae.

On thorax distribution of macrochaetae as follows: 1+1 ma, 2+2 la2,3, 2+2 lp2,3 on pronotum; 1+1 ma, 3+3 la1,2,3, 2+2 lp2,3, 1+1 mp on mesonotum; 1+1 ma, 2+2 la1,2, 2+2 lp2,3, 1+1 mp on metanotum ( Figs. 1 View FIGURE 1 A, 1B). All macrochaetae long, barbed on distal two-thirds. Pronotum with 16 setae well differentiated from the clothing setae, these larger setae thick, long, and with barbs between on the distal third to half of each seta. Marginal setae stronger than clothing setae, with distal barbs. Metathoracic leg extending past abdominal segment VII. Femur III with tergal macrochaeta, sternal macrochaeta and row of marginal macrochaetae. Tibia III with 2 sternal macrochaetae barbed along their entire length; tibia I and II each with one sternal macrochaeta. Two rows of thick, barbed setae on sternal surface of tarsus. Subapical setae (ssa) and the two lateral setae (sla) covered with very thin barbs; dorsal anterior setae (sda) and dorsal posterior setae (sdp) glabrous ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 C). Subequal claws with small lateral crests without ridges, but body of the claw with about 15 transverse ridges. Telotarsal process laminar, sternal side covered with short barbs ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 C).

Tergal macrochaetae of abdomen well developed, number variable: urotergite I with 1+1 post1; II-III 2+2 post2,3; IV 1 +1 la3, 5+5 post1 to 5; V 2 +2 la2,3 or 2+1 la2,3-la3; 5+5 post1 to 5; VI-VII la1,2,3, 5+5 post; VIII 6 +6 post; IX 8 +8 or 8+7 post. Urosternite I with 7+1+7 macrochaetae; subcylindrical appendages supporting 35 a1 -setae on apex. Urosternites II to VII with 5+5 macrochaetae. Urosternite VIII with 2+2 macrochaetae. Styles with subapical and medial sternal setae well barbed, apical setae with some distal barbs. Covering of cerci similar to the new species described below.

Lectotype and type locality. Specimen (length 5.2 mm) from Sandjak of Novi-Pazar, Rabitlje (Serbia- Montenegro border), P. Remy leg., 25.VII.1933, mounted on slide in Marc André II medium and deposited in the Department of Arthropods and Insects II, Muséum d’Histoire Naturelle, Geneva, Switzerland.
