Argyrogrammana nurtia ludibunda Brévignon & Gallard, 1995

Argyrogrammana nurtia ludibunda Brévignon & Gallard, 1995

In 2013 three males were collected exhibiting hilltoping behavior one meter from the ground around 15:00h. In 2014 more three specimens were collected exhibiting the same behavior and at the same time observed on 2013. The specimens from PNSD are more similar to the type of A. nurtia ludibunda Brévignon & Gallard, 1995 than the nominative subspecies. They differ from the latter by the reduced orange markings, blue patch thinner on the forewing upperside, and the reduced blue markings in both wings underside. Specimens from PNSD are slightly different of the holotype of A. nurtia ludibunda in size and shape of the blue patch of forewing upperside, even though, no differences were observed in the morphology of the genitalia.
