Diagnosis. This species was described from Guizhou, China, and the illustrations of male genitalia were provided by Li et al. (2011). This species has an inner process extending from the base of the pygofer to posterior margin and curved ventrally and the gonopore at the apex of the aedeagal process. These characters indicate that this species should be excluded from Phlogothamnus and tranferred to Phlogotettix Ribaut, 1942 .
Material examined. China: 1♂ (Holotype), Guizhou Prov., Jiangkou County, Fanjing Mt. , 1 August 2001, coll. Maofa Yang ( GUGC) ; 1 ♂, Guangxi Autonomous Region , Hechi County, 29 July 2019, coll. Xiaoya Wang ( GUGC) .
Distribution: China (Guizhou, Guangxi) ( Li et al., 2011).
Note. The original figures of Li (in Li et al.,2011) lack the aedeagus in the ventral view. Here, we have redrawn the male genitalia.
