Lectotype (designated here by Reveal): Herb. Clifford: 408, Aster 15, sheet “21” (BM-000647095) .

Current name: Aster sedifolius L. View in CoL ( Asteraceae ).

Note: Although Gray (in Proc. Amer. Acad. Arts 17: 165. 1882) noted the existence of Clifford material, he did not indicate it as the type.
