Type:— AUSTRALIA. Tasmania, Falling Mountain , 41°55’S 146°06’E, 1350 m alt., on soft, weathered, moist dolerite rock faces in alpine heathland, 11 March 2011, G. Kantvilas 141/11 (holotype − HO!; isotype − E!) GoogleMaps .
Endemic to Tasmania. This species is widely distributed in the Tasmanian highlands, but is highly inconspicuous and rarely collected. A full description is provided by Kantvilas (2014).
