Notes
Sawoniewicz (2003) treats fortipes (Gravenhorst, 1829, Cryptus ), with canaliculatus (Gravenhorst, 1829, Ichneumon ) as a synonym, as distinct from distinctor . Despite Sawoniewicz’s quote of Morley (1907) for the concept of fortipes, all the British material in BMNH is referrable to distinctor , based on Sawoniewicz’s characters for separation of the species. NMS material has been identified by J. Sawoniewicz as distinctor .
