Current name: Casuarina equisetifolia L. View in CoL ( Casuarinaceae ).

Note: Much has been written about Casuarina , chiefly concerning its date of publication (1759) and the status of C. equisetifolia L. (valid from 1759) and " C. litorea L. " (not validly published; Art. 34.1, Ex. 2.(a)). See discussion by Friis (in Taxon 29: 499. 1980) and Fosberg (l.c. 30: 218. 1981).
