Comments: Hyperolius cinnamomeoventris is a species found along the western coast of Angola and in the northern part of the country ( Marques et al. 2018). Ferreira (1906) cites several specimens (without giving the precise number) from “Quilombo”, “Mupèpe” and “Rio Luinha”. Six specimens are extant in the collections, one of which matches the Quilombo locality (MHNCUP/ANF 176). The remaining most likely correspond to the “Mupepe” and “Rio Luinha” specimens, as the adult specimen (MHNCUP/ANF 220) is certainly not from “Bahia dos Tigres” as noted on the label. Specimen MHNCUP/ANF 294 was previously identified as “ Rappia cinctiventris ”. The cited localities are the only published records for the species in Kwanza Norte province ( Marques et al. 2018).
