Afrixalus osorioi ( Ferreira, 1906) View in CoL
Material (three specimens): One adult male, one adult female and one juvenile specimen (MHNCUP/ ANF 212–214 , formerly UP-MHNFCP-017307; Fig. S6 View FIGURE 6 ), collected from Quilombo [-9.33333º, 14.90000º, 744 m a.s.l.] Kwanza Norte Province, date unknown .
Comments: MHNCUP/ANF 212–214 are the syntypes used by Ferreira (1906) in the description of Rappia osorioi , a species named in homage to Baltasar Osório (1855-1926), a naturalist from the Museu Bocage. Ceríaco et al. (2014b) analyzed these specimens in a review of the type specimens published by Ferreira (1904, 1906), confirming the species to be valid and found in northwestern Angola. Until very recently, the species had only been recorded from its type locality in Angola ( Marques et al. 2018), but field surveys in Serra do Pingano, Uíge Province, uncovered additional records of the species for the country (Ernst et al. 2020; LMPC pers. obs. ( Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3 )).
