Material (two specimens): One adult male specimen (MHNCUP/REP 214, formerly UP-MHNFCP-017357; Fig. S29 View FIGURE S ), collected from Gumba [-11.26667º, 14.28333º, 784 m a.s.l.] Kwanza Sul Province, in 1903; one juvenile specimen (MHNCUP/REP 215, formerly UP-MHNFCP-017356), collected from Cabiri [-8.92125º, 13.66654º, 31 m a.s.l.] Bengo Province, in 1903 .
Comments: Hemidactylus longicephalus is a species found mainly in western Angola ( Marques et al. 2018; Ceríaco et al. 2020a). The species has a complicated taxonomic history, recently addressed in detail by Ceríaco et al. (2020a). Specimen MHNCUP/REP 214 was cited by Ferreira (1904) as “ Hemidactylus bocagei ”, as well as a male and a female specimen from “Cunga, margens do Quanza” that we were unable to locate. An additional adult specimen was also cited by Ferreira (1906), with no indication of locality, possibly matching MHNCUP/REP 215, although we found it to be a juvenile.
