Description: THE TAXA Of THIS GROUp HAVE BEEN CONSIdEREd WITHIN THE “ T. goettingensis ” COMpLEX BASEd ON MORpHOLOGICAL, KARYOLOGICAL ANd MOLECULAR pHYLOGENETIC GROUNdS (PETITpIERRE 1970A, 1970B, 1976; GÓMEZ-ZURITA
et al. 2000A, 2000B, 2000C; GÓMEZ-ZURITA 2004). HOWEVER, THEIR LARGE BOdY (11.5–15.0 MM.), WITH pRONOTUM WITH MORE pRONOUNCEdLY CURVEd SIdES, MESOVENTRITE SLANTEd OR EVEN fORKEd, ANd SHALLOW ANd RELATIVELY SpREAd pUNCTATION Of ELYTRA, ALLOW TO ITS dIAGNOSIS WITH REGARd TO TAXA IN THE fORMER GROUp. IT IS dISTRIBUTEd fROM SOUTHERN CATALONIA TO MURCIA ANd IN CENTRAL-EASTERN IBERIA . FURTHERMORE, THE GLOBULAR ANd HIGHLY COMpLEX STRUCTURE Of MOST ENdOpHALLI CLEARLY SUBSTANTIATE THIS GROUp Of SpECIES.
