Material.—Lower Eocene, Upper Cretaceous, south-central Ukraine.

Remarks.— Pleromidae are commonly represented by smooth megaclones. Despite that some of the illustrated megaclones ( Fig. 9J, K, N, Q, T–W, Y View Fig ) are Late Cretaceous, the same type of spicules was also found in the Paleogene deposits (e.g., Fig. 9S View Fig , see figure caption).
