Diagnosis. The only species with a predominantly black head.

Description. Body length 7.4. Fore wing length 7.2. Ovipositor length 4.6. Body color black and yellow/ orange; black as follows: head except posterior orbit, body of thorax s.s. except metapleuron, fore leg, and mid leg except coxa, hind leg at base and apex of tibia and all tarsomeres (one specimen ( Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 D) has most of propodeum and metapleuron melanic). 53 flagellomeres. Fore wing deeply and evenly infuscate. Propodeum mostly smooth laterally, medially with a rugose ridge that bifurcates posteriorly forming an irregular small cell. Cub of hind wing well pigmented.

Etymology. Named in honor of Dr E. Eric Grissell, former chalcidologist with U.S. National Museum of Natural History, in recognition of our friendship and of his many contributions to hymenopterology.
