Distribution and habitat.

Dry shells found at a lotus pond in Banteay Meanchey Province (locality no. 5).

Remarks.

Indoplanorbis exustus has been recorded from Cambodia since the 1800s ( Mabille and Le Mesle 1866; Crosse and Fischer 1876; Brandt and Temcharoen 1971), and although it was only collected from one locality during our surveys, the species is known to occur in paddy fields or shallow, ephemeral ponds across its distribution in Asia ( Liu et al. 2010). The cosmopolitan species is an intermediate host of several zoonotic parasites ( Liu et al. 2010).
