Amblysomus corriae Thomas 1905 View in CoL
Amblysomus corriae Thomas 1905 View in CoL , Abstr. Proc. Zool. Soc. Lond., 1905 (20): 5.
Type Locality: South Africa, Western Cape Prov., Knysna.
Vernacular Names: Fynbos Golden Mole.
Subspecies: :
Subspecies Amblysomus corriae subsp. corriae Thomas 1905
Subspecies Amblysomus corriae subsp. devilliersi Roberts 1946
Distribution: Western Cape Prov. from Stellenbosch/Paarl eastwards to Knysna and George ( South Africa).
Discussion: A. corriae was previously treated as a subspecies of A. iris , and devilliersi as a subspecies of A. hottentotus , see Meester et al. (1986:23). Bronner (1996) showed that iris represents only a subspecies of A. hottentotus , and elevated corriae to species rank to include devilliersi.
