Host plant in Israel. Q. ithaburensis .

Life history. This species is currently known only from its sexual generation, which develops in cryptic, ovoid galls, 4–7 mm in diameter, in apical buds ( Fig. 53 View FIGURES 53–58 ). The galls are soft, light green, with velvety white cover.

Phenology. Galls were found in early February and adults emerged from them in early March.

Distribution. Israel: Mezar, Hosha’aya, Alonim, Hasharon Forest.

Comments. Mrphological and molecular data (Shachar, unpulished) place this specis in Pseudoneuroterus but due to the small number of adults we obtained, the species is not described here formally and will be dealt with once more material become available.
