Vernacular Names: Anoa.

Distribution: Sulawesi.

Conservation: CITES – Appendix I; U.S. ESA – Endangered; IUCN – Endangered.

Discussion: Includes anoa; see Groves (1969 b:3). Formerly included in Anoa but placed in genus Bubalus , subgenus Anoa by Groves (1969 b:3).
