Remarks.
Introduced for Melanopsis praemorsa sensu Brusina, 1897, non Linnaeus, 1758. Wenz (1929: 2831-2833) listed also other misidentied Melanopsis praemorsa from the late Miocene deposits of Lake Pannon and the Pliocene of Greece and Croatia under that name, but it is very unlikely that all of them belong to the same species.
