This species is not endemic to the Caribbean area but has a Neotropical distribution: Brazil, Colombia, Cuba, Guadeloupe, MarieGalante, Martinique, Panama, Puerto Rico, Venezuela. The measurements of females and males collected in this study agree with those given by Kreiter & Moraes (1997) for specimens collected in Guadeloupe.
