Somatic ciliary pattern Litonotus -like; about 8–14 right and 4–5 left kineties.

Distribution. Litonotus fusidens was recorded in organic mud from activated sludge plants in the town of Bratislava ( Matis 1988); in the backwaters of the Danube River near the State Natural Reservation Čičov ( Matis & Tirjaková 1992); in the riverside zone of the Danube River near Čičov ( Tirjaková 1992 a); in the periphyton and benthos of the Turiec River ( Tirjaková 1993); in the main stream of the Morava River near Devín ( Matis & Tirjaková 1994); in the littoral zone of the Danube River and its through-flowing river arms near the hydroelectric power structures in Gabčíkovo ( Matis & Tirjaková 1995); in an oligotrophic stream in the National Nature Reserve Rozsutec, Malá Fatra Mts ( Tirjaková 1997 b); in the benthos from the Ružičkov prameň spring, High Tatra Mts ( Tirjaková 2001); in the benthos from the Stupavský potok brook ( Tirjaková 2003 b); in the benthos and plankton of a hypertrophic shallow water reservoir near the town of Modra ( Tirjaková 2010); in the sediment from the littoral zone of the upper Váh River near the villages of Stankovany and Hubová ( Tirjaková & Vďačný 2013 a).
