TYPE LOCALITY: Australia, Queensland, Cardwell region .

DISTRIBUTION: Known only from the region of Barrett's Lagoon, near Tully, Queensland, Australia.

STATUS: Probably endangered.

COMMENTS: History of description given by Van Dyck (1990). Species resurrected from synonomy with P. norfolcensis by Van Dyck (1991).
