NHMUK 1982297, holotype (see remarks).
Remarks.
Gray (1834) refers to the type material as "This shell...", which may imply that he had only one specimen at hand. It is a juvenile shell, with the lip damaged. The taxon was considered to be a junior subjective synonym of Helix elongata Röding, 1789 by Pilsbry (1899: 25), with which we concur.
