Remarks
Talassia dagueneti was described from off Cape Breton, Bay of Biscay; a syntype is shown by Warén & Bouchet (1988: fig. 45; MNHN-IM-2000-5648). The species is distributed from the Porcupine Basin off Ireland to the Gulf of Cadiz, Madeira and Canary Islands and in the western Mediterranean Sea in 170–1809 m ( Bouchet & Warén 1993; Segers et al. 2009; this study). The outline of the shell is more slender ( Fig. 6 View Figs 1–11 ) than that of T. coriacea ( Fig. 1 View Figs 1–11 ) and the spiral sculpture of the teleoconch has finely dotted lines; the flexuous axial riblets are equidistant ( Fig. 7 View Figs 1–11 ).
