Lethocerus patruelis (Stål, 1854)

Belostoma patruele Stål, 1854: 241 (as new species); Belostoma pruinosum Dufour, 1863: 381 ; Belostoma niloticum var. persicum Montandon, 1898: 431 .

Distribution in Iran. Hormozgan, Kerman, Sistan & Baluchestan (Hoberlandt 1955 as L. fakir, Safavi 1981 b as L. fakir ; Modarres Awal 1997 (as L. fakir )), Khuzestan (Seidenstücker 1958 as L. fakir ; Safavi 1981b as L. fakir ; Modarres Awal 1997 as L. fakir, Linnavuori 2009 ), Iran (no locality cited) (Aukema & Rieger 1995; Perez Goodwyn 2006; Linnavuori et al. 2011).

General distribution. Ponto-Mediterranean, Central Asia, Indian subcontinent (Polhemus. 1995; Fent et al. 2011; Linnavuori et al. 2011).

Comments. In biotopes with Phragmites sp. ( Poaceae ) and Scirpus sp. ( Cyperaceae ) (Linnavuori 2009).
