Holotype female; Japan: Higo; BMNH.

Distribution.

Asia; North America (introduced): Florida, Georgia.

Notes.

Xylosandrus amputatus was first discovered in the US from Florida in 2010 ( Cognato et al. 2011). Distinguished by the truncate elytral declivity with a carina forming a complete cirumdeclivital ring.
