Distribution. Indian records: Maharashtra ( Bombay, Pune), Tamil Nadu (Nilgiris), Karnataka, Andaman Islands, Himalaya, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura, Jammu & Kashmir (Patnitop). Global records: Java, China, Nepal, Vietnam, Australia, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, Japan, Hawaii, Sri Lanka ( Hampson 1912, Kononenko & Pinratana 2005, Joshi et al. 2021).
Remark. Sivasankaran et al. (2011: 6) erroneously mentioned the author and year of the species as “ Holloway, 1985 ”.
