Based on the original description and illustrations by Nandi (1990: 21–22, figs 1–4), I exclude this species from subgenus Heteronychia View in CoL ; pending a direct study of the holotype (which is deposited in the National Collection of the Zoological Survey of India, Calcutta), its subgeneric placement remains doubtful.
