Ochraceous with brown markings on vertex, pronotum, scutellum and forewings; dorsal spot on frontoclypeus and oblique spots on lateral margin, brown. Forewing with lateral spot on either side of clavus and apex yellow, spots near apex, brown. Prosternum dark brown.

Male genitalia: Pygofer lobe posteriorly narrowed and rounded, with posterodorsal short triangular process with basal pigmented sclerotized area; macrosetae on posterior 3/4 of area and hair-like setae in dorsal area. Subgenital plates with lateral concavity. Connective stem absent, arms not connected at the base, independently articulating with aedeagal base. Aedeagus with well developed dorsal apodeme, shafts divided right at base, each shaft Sshaped, stouter but of uniform width in basal half then abruptly narrowed and curved dorsally, into thin tube of uniform diameter, apex pointed, conical extension at point where shaft abruptly narrows. Gonopore subapical on thinner region of shaft.

Measurements. Male 6.0- 7.2 mm long, 1.4-1.6 mm wide across eyes and 1.6-1.9 mm wide across hind margin of pronotum.

Material examined. INDIA: HOLOTYPE 3, W. Bengal, Calcutta, 11.xi.1981, C.A. Viraktamath ( BMNH). PARATYPES: INDIA: 1 3, Meghalaya: Cherrapunjee, 5.xi.1981, C.A. Viraktamath ( UASB); 1 3, Meghalaya: Barapani, 11.viii.2011, N. Meshram ( NPC); MYANMAR: 1 3, Burma: Mishmi Hills, Chhnglen 5350 ft (1623 m), 25.ii.1935, M. Steele ( BMNH).

Remarks. This species resembles P. rameshi sp. nov. and for further discussion see under that species.

Etymology. Named after the two countries ( Burma and India) where the species was collected.
