Neotype (designated here by Raven, Hoch, Nicolson, Freeland & Wagner): India. Mysore, Hassan district, Belur-Gendehally Road, 17 Sep 1969, C. Saldanha 15027 (MO-2334663; iso-JSB, K, US).

Current name: Ludwigia adscendens (L.) H. Hara View in CoL ( Onagraceae ).

Note: Raven (in Reinwardtia 6: 388. 1963) noted the absence of any type material.
