Subgenus Antisphodrus Schaufuss, 1865 .

The seven known Iranian representatives of the subgenus Antisphodrus are currently placed into two speciesgroups, esfandiarii and glasunowi . Based on the examination of newly collected material studied within this work and including five new species, the authors decided to establish two new Antisphodrus species-groups characterised by peculiar morphological features. These species-groups are described below.
