Diagnosis: Body size 65 × 30 μm in protargol preparations; body ellipsoidal to lightly ovate, posterior body end rounded. Macronuclear nodule spherical to elliptical, positioned at midbody. Contractile vacuole at midbody with single excretory pore. Cytoplasm colorless. Oral apparatus slightly above midbody.
Remark: It is first record of the genus from Korea. Foissner et al. (2002) provided detailed comparison to separate congeners mainly by 1) buccal cavity; 2) postoral suture; and 3) excretory pore.
