Taxonomic notes. The so far only known real Evonima species in the Afrotropics is E. westafricana Hacker, 2012 , displaying very similar genitalia structure to that of the type species of the genus ( Evonima aperta Walker, 1865 ) and its Asiatic relatives. The other two species treated as Evonima , E. littoralis (van Son, 1933) and E. ruhija Hacker, 2012 differ significantly in male genitalia from the ground plan of Asiatic Evonima and E. westafricana as it is shown in Hacker et al (2012), suggesting a need for erecting a distinct genus for littoralis and ruhija . As a complete revision of the African Evonima was out of the scope of this present paper, the original nomenclature is followed here. The species has already been recorded in Mozambique, Pemba ( Hacker 2014).
