Micra tineoides Walker [1858] 1857, List of the specimens of lepidopterous insects in the collection of the British Museum 12: 824. Type locality: [ RSA] Port Natal. Holotype male, NHMUK.
Material examined: 1 ♂, Mozambique, 15m, Maputo Special Reserve, Ponta Milibangalala, Dune Grassland , 26°26'58.6"S, 32°55'29.8"E, 25–30.V.2017, MV Light Trap, Aristophanous, M., Laszlo, G., Miles, W., Vetina, A. leg. GoogleMaps , slide No.: LGNA 375 ♂ (coll. ANHRT).
Remark. Nola tineoides was described from Port Natal a locality being rather close to Maputaland. It is worth to note that the author refers to the species as the most common Nola in South Africa, still, only a single specimen was collected in the Maputo Special Reserve. New country record for Mozambique.
