Etymology. The specific epithet refers to the Hyrcanian region, which covers the currently known distribution range of the species.
Diagnosis. The male of the new species differs from that of B. daoxianensis by having a more elongated bulb (length/width ratio 2 vs. 1.3), having modified setae on anterior part of the palpal tibia, and by the presence of a small dorsoprolateral apophysis ( Figs 10E View FIGURE 10 , 11E View FIGURE 11 ). The female of the generotype differs from that of B. tajikistanicus sp. n. by having a small dorsal scutum, only primary receptacles, and diverging receptacular glands (vs. scutum absent, two pairs of receptacles and converging glands).
Description. Male (holotype). Habitus as in Figs 9 View FIGURE 9 D–G. Total length 2.25. Carapace 1.07 long, 0.87 wide. Eye sizes and interdistances: AME: 0.05, ALE: 0.08, PME: 0.07, PLE: 0.07, AME–AME: 0.03, PME–PME: 0.03. Carapace, sternum, labium, chelicerae and maxillae reddish-brown. Legs yellowish-brown, except for femur, patella and most of tibia I, which are dark brown, and less distinct annulations on other legs. Abdomen covered dorsally with an entire scutum, reddish-grey dorsally, with distinct lighter coloured cardiac mark; ventrally with epigastral scutum, light brown with two dark grey longitudinal bands. Spinnerets light brown, unicolourous. Leg I measurements: 3.32 (0.83, 0.38, 0.86, 0.79, 0.46). Spination: I: Fe 1d, Ti 10v, Mt 8v; II: Fe 1d, Ti 10v, Mt 8v; IV: Fe 1d.
Palp as in Figs 10 View FIGURE 10 A–E, 11A–F, H; femoral extension poorly developed, femur elongate, almost 3 times lon- ger than wide; patella unmodified; tibia without retrolateral apophyses, but with small spine-like dorsoprolateral apophysis (Dp), anterior edge with dense modified setae ( Fig. 11C, E View FIGURE 11 ); cymbium 2 times longer than wide; bulb oval, with long U-shaped sperm duct, apophyses absent; embolus with large base, embolus proper small, weakly visible, accompanied by small tooth-like extension of embolic base (Te).
Female. Habitus as in Figs 9 View FIGURE 9 A–C. Total length 3.12. Carapace 1.11 long, 0.91 wide. Eye sizes and interdistanc- es: AME: 0.07, ALE: 0.08, PME: 0.06, PLE: 0.07, AME–AME: 0.04, PME–PME: 0.03. Abdomen with small dorsal scutum, dorsum with pattern composed of pair of light anterior spots and small light spot near anal tubercle; sides with diagonal broad band; venter light, with darker epigyne, book-lungs and pair of dark stripes between epigastral fold and front of spinnerets. Leg I measurements: 3.58 (0.86, 0.35, 1.02, 0.85, 0.50). Spination: I: Fe 1d, Ti 14v, Mt 8v; II: Fe 1d, Ti 12v, Mt 6v; IV: Fe 1d.
Epigyne as in Figs 12 View FIGURE 12 A–F; with anterior fovea separated by weakly sclerotized septum terminated by hood leading to copulatory openings; anterior edge of fovea with indistinct margins; receptacles, copulatory ducts and glands of receptacle distinctly visible through integument in intact epigyne; endogyne with one pair of small globular receptacles located posteriorly, either touching or apart; copulatory ducts long, making right angle turn near glands, forming diamond-shaped figure; receptacular glands attached to copulatory ducts, gland long, as long as receptacle diameter.
Distribution. Known from the type localities in Lankaran District, southeastern Azerbaijan, and Gilan, Mazandaran and Golestan provinces, northern Iran ( Fig. 14 View FIGURE 14 ).
