Type material: Holotype: female from Spain, no specific locality, L. Koch collection (NHM 780.90.7.1).

Diagnosis. Female genitalia of D. hispanus resemble those of D. fritillifer , but can be easily distinguished by the shape of the epigynal atrium, subrectangular ( Fig. 39 View FIGURES 32 – 40. 32 – 33 ), and the shape of the membranous coils, slightly extended forwards ( Fig. 40 View FIGURES 32 – 40. 32 – 33 ).
Description. Female dimensions (holotype): total length 9.10. Carapace 4.38 long, 3.25 wide. Leg I: femur 3.02, patella 1.71, tibia 2.38, metatarsus 2.04, tarsus 1.44, total 10.59. Leg II: femur 2.81, patella 1.56, tibia 2.15, metatarsus 1.88, tarsus 1.35, total 9.75. Leg III: femur 2.50, patella 1.39, tibia 1.73, metatarsus 1.70, tarsus 1.17, total 8.49. Leg IV: femur 3.43, patella 1.71, tibia 2.87, metatarsus 2.85, tarsus 1.38, total 12.24. Leg spination: femora: III p0-1-0, r0-0-1(0); tibiae: IV v1 p-2-2; metatarsi: III, IV p0-2-2, r0-2-2. Atrium very large, subrectangular, wider than high (0.65–0.70 wide, 0.51–0.55 high, ratio 1.23–1.31), with a large anterior tongue projecting posteriorly ( Fig. 39 View FIGURES 32 – 40. 32 – 33 ); two large copulatory openings, plugged with thick concretion in examined specimens; membranous coils short, with external contour followed by coiled ducts looped around once ( Fig. 40 View FIGURES 32 – 40. 32 – 33 ).
