Adriatic Sea:

• 40 ° 31.59′N, 18°05.51′E; 20 m bsl: [FAO37] Italy, Brindisi Province, Lendinuso, coarse sand in Posidonia meadows. Accogli et al. (2011)

Black Sea:

• 44°37′N, 33°32′E; 2–17 m bsl: [FAO37] Ukraine / Russia, Crimean Peninsula, Sevastopol bays, interstitial, medium and fine sand with fragments of algae. Kharkevych (2013a)

Coral Sea:

• 22°00′30′′S, 165°56′48′′E; 4 m bsl: [FAO71] Type Locality: New Caledonia, Saint Vincent Bay, Grand Ténia Island, coarse coralline sand. Renaud-Mornant (1981d)

Record numbers (FAO classification): FAO37: 2, FAO71: 1; total: 3.

Remarks: This species was described from the tropical zone in the southern hemisphere and recently reported from the Black Sea and Mediterranean basin. However, we think that the presence of this species in the Black Sea and Mediterranean basin needs confirmation.
