Holotype: Male, INPA-OP 918, Brazil, Amazonas, Manaus, igapó Tarumã-Mirim, (03°02'S, 60°17'W), J. Adis leg., 26.VII.1983. Paratypes: 1 male, INPA-OP 919, with same locality and collector as for holotype, 26.V.1983; female, INPA-OP 920, with same locality and collector as for holotype, 27.VI.1983; 1 female and 1 juvenile, with same locality and collector as for holotype, 29.IX.1982, INPA-OP 921; 1 female, INPA-OP 924, with same locality and collector as for holotype, 24.VIII.1983; 1 female, INPA-OP 925, with same locality and collector as for holotype, 26.VII.1983.

Remark: There are some differences between the quantity of material of G. persephone deposited at the INPA and the quantity of specimens cited by Pinto-da-Rocha & Kury (2003) as sent to INPA. According to the authors the lot INPA-OP 920 is composed of three females and the lot INPA-OP 924 by two females one. No loan was localized on files of the INPA's Invertebrate Collection for this material. The first author (R. Pinto-da-Rocha in litt.) cannot clarify the destiny of this material, if the same was sent to INPA as stated in the original publication or if there was an error in number of individuals listed.
