Stratigraphic and geographic distribution: Aptian, throughout the Santana Group, Araripe Basin, Brazil ( Bate 1972; Smith 2000; Coimbra et al. 2002; Poropat and Colin 2012a,b; Guzmán et al. 2022; this study). Aptian, Crato Formation, Cedro Basin, Brazil ( Tomé & Lima Filho 2010). Aptian, Crato Formation, Jatobá Basin, Brazil ( Tomé et al. 2014). Upper Aptian, Codó Formation, Grajaú Basin, Brazil ( Ramos et al. 2006). Aptian-Albian deposits, Liberia ( Bate 1972).
