10. Graphium antheus ( Cramer, 1779) View in CoL
WL: 45mm. This sub-Saharan species occurs mainly in forested areas, including dry forest and forest-savanna mosaic. It is very similar to G. policenes , from which it can be distinguished by the presence of wavy rather than linear green bands in the forewing cell. In Guinea-Bissau it is more common than that species, and considered with a proportion of roughly 1 specimen of G. policenes to 30 of G. antheus . Caterpillars feed on several Annonaceae ( Annona , Artabotrys, Cleitochlamys , Monanthotaxis , Monodora , Uvaria and Uvariodendro), as well as on Apocynaceae of genus Landolphia .
