WL: 33mm. This is a forest species reported for the first time for Guinea-Bissau. It exhibits sexual dimorphism, where males are bluish-white on the recto, while females are either white or yellow with more developed black maculation. Both sexes have a silvery sheen on the verso. The nominate subspecies flies from Senegal to Cameroon and other weakly defined subspecies fly in equatorial, eastern and southern Africa. According to Ehrlich & Raven (1964), the caterpillars feed on Hippocratea (Hippocrateaceae) .
