WL: 13mm. This is a common savanna skipper frequently found in degraded areas, particularly agricultural lands, across Africa. It is easily mistaken for S. spio , from which it is distinguished by the presence of a solid rather than broken white band on the hindwing verso. Caterpillars feed on several species of Sterculiaceae and Tiliaceae .
