Aradosyrtis salicis Horvath 1913 new combination
Calisius salicis Horvath 1913: 626 (descr.)
Calisius salicis Heiss & Rieger 1987: 39 (tax., fig.) Calisius salicis Heiss 1988: 17 (lectotype male, distr.) Calisius salicis Heiss 2001:22 (cat. CPH4:22)
Calisius salicis Heiss & Pericart 2007:267 (tax., fig., key)
Material examined. Lectotype male from Ruma (now Serbia), des. Heiss 1988: 17 deposited at Hungarian Natural History Museum, Budapest, Hungary; one female from Austria and further specimens from Greece and Bulgaria in CEHI (cited in Heiss & Pericart 2007: 269).
As salicis shares the basic morphological characters of Aradosyrtis ghiliani (see Heiss & Pericart 2007), it is transferred and assigned to Aradosyrtis A.Costa 1864 .
Discussion. Calisius sensu Stål seems to be restricted to the Neotropics. However, further examination of types of described Neotropical “ Calisius ” species and DNA barcoding of fresh samples will help elucidate which taxa really belong to Calisius or to other genera to be erected. One new genus, for example, is described below.
