External characters (figs 11–16; 27–32). On forewing postmedial line at costal area strongly kinked inwards (postmedial line slightly curved at costal area).
Male genitalia (figs 66–72; 80–85). Sacculus triangular, shorter than costa, spines elongated at dorsal and ventral tip of sacculus; aedeagus with a short, claw-like cornutus, and a well-developed, spinose, plate-like cornutus (sacculus oval, all spines of equal length on the whole margin of sacculus; aedeagus usually tapered proximally, claw-like cornutus very small, spinose plate-like cornutus short or reduced).
Female genitalia (figs 116–119; 125–127). Last abdominal segment inconspicuous; antrum narrow, tubular, weakly sclerotized (last abdominal segment trapezoidal, basally broadened, large; antrum narrow, more sclerotized laterally).
