External characters (figs 11–16; 33–42). On forewing antemedial line clearly zigzagged with rounded tips, all three teeth of similar length; subterminal line serrate with well-pronounced triangular spikes (antemedial line irregularly zigzagged with acute tips; subterminal line interrupted, serrate with weakly pronounced triangular spikes).
Male genitalia (figs 66–72; 86–97). Sacculus triangular, shorter than costa, spines elongated at dorsal and ventral tip of sacculus; aedeagus usually strongly curved, claw-like cornutus short (sacculus oval to oblong rectangular, as long or longer than costa, spines slightly elongated at the dorsal tip of sacculus; aedeagus straight, claw-like cornutus large, strongly bent).
Female genitalia (figs 116–119; 128–135). Antrum narrow (antrum wide in P. erika erika and P. erika jonubi ssp. nov.; narrow in P. erika sindhi ssp. nov.).
