P. Jäger. Paratypes. 1♂, same locality and date, together with holotype . 1♂, Luang Prabang Prov., SE Luang Prabang, Nam Khan, Xieng Ngeun Distr., Ban Keng Koung, 372 m a.s.l., 19°40'963''N 102°18'442''E, disturbed forest, valley, waterfall, dry stream bed, sieving and Winkler, 21.–23.II.2008, leg. P. Jäger.
Etymology. The species name refers to the presence of two pits on the flanks of the carapace.
Diagnosis. The new species is very similar to the type species, A. signifera n. sp., but differs distinctly by the modified carapace carrying large pits, by the shorter palpal tibia, by the absence of a conical tegular outgrowth, by the thinner embolus and its long flagelliform part, as well as by the shape of the anterior apophysis of the convector.
Description. Male holotype. Total length 2.40. Carapace somewhat modified ( Fig. 7 View FIGURES 7 – 14 ), slightly conical prominent behind ocular area, and two large pits on both sides, 1.10 long, 0.90 wide, pale brown, with a short radial stripes. Eyes normal. Chelicerae 0.40 long, stridulatory furrows fine. Legs pale brown. Leg I, 4.98 long (1.28+0.30+1.35+1.25+0.80), IV, 4.89 long (1.35+0.28+1.28+1.25+0.73). Chaetotaxy: in holotype spines broken off, in paratypes 2.2.1.1. All metatarsi with a trichobothrium. TmI, 0.43. Palp ( Figs 8–14 View FIGURES 7 – 14 ): Tibia small, unmodified, rounded distally. Paracymbium relatively small, L-shaped. Tegulum without distal conical outgrowth. Distal suprategular apophysis flat, narrow, curved, slightly bent apically. Median membrane well-developed, protruding far in front of palp. Radical part of embolic division very small, clothed with a membranous tissue. Convector flat, semi-circular, outer margin slightly folded, anterior part extended forward, dagger-shaped. Embolus long, forming a loop, at about middle showing an exfoliate tunic resembling the loom of a wire (“flag”) and leaving the distal half of embolus narrowly flagelliform. Opisthosoma 1.50 long, 0.95 wide, dorsally pale, almost white, with a longitudinal row of four pairs of large grey spots; pairs 3 and 4 almost fused.
Female. Unknown.
Variation. The opisthosoma of the paratype bears a pair of large grey spots. Shape of the median membrane is also variable ( Fig. 8 View FIGURES 7 – 14 cf. Fig. 14 View FIGURES 7 – 14 ).
Distribution. Known from two localities of Luang Prabang Province, Laos.
